Equest Balkan Properties plc (EBP) invests in the property market of South East Europe, primarily in commercial, retail and industrial property. Its principal focus is on Bulgaria, Romania and Serbia, but considers appropriate investments in the rest of the Balkan region.
EBP is listed on the London Stock Exchange, AIM market. We look to take advantage of attractive yields and the potential for capital appreciation in the Balkan region. As part of our investment strategy, Equest borrows from commercial mortgage lenders as we anticipate that higher returns are achievable through investments than the cost of debt financing.
Within the target region, EBP has completed a number of investments, principally in Romania and Bulgaria, and established a local network of leading partners, advisors and consultants with solid knowledge of the local property markets. EBP has established full scale investment offices in Sofia, Bucharest and Belgrade, and through its Investment Advisor and Investment Manager, headquarters in London's Covent Garden, and an investment management operation in the Isle of Man.
